String Project Services Explained

Founding Director of the national string education program called String Project at Pacific University.  This program, the only one of its kind in the state of Oregon, is based on a duel  mission which provides supervised teaching preparation opportunities for our undergraduate students while at the same time providing affordable and high quality string education to the students from the surrounding communities.  The program was founded in the Spring of 2012 when we had four undergraduate students and 12 community students participating in it.  In the past three years, the program has served in total 12 undergraduate students and about 100 community students.  At present, we are serving nine undergraduate students and between 160-200 community students. In 2018 PU String Project was awarded Outstanding String Project of the Year by ASTA and NSPC.
