Student Teaching Handbook: This handbook is your best resource for details about schedules, due dates, and placement requirements.
-
-
- Timelines are on pages 6-16, depending on the type of placement you are hosting. Please contact Dr. Kate Eckert (keckert@pacificu.edu) for Forest Grove Candidates or Lisa Fragala (fragalal@pacificu.edu) for Eugene Candidates if you are not sure which timeline you are using.
- The “Stages of Responsibility” located on pages 20-22 are also very helpful for guiding the process from Orientation to Assuming Teaching Responsibilities. Your candidate will be expected to transition through all stages, with your support and guidance, at a pace that is comfortable to you both. You can find potential ways to organize student teaching schedules in Appendix 10.

-
-
- The University Supervisor for each student teaching placement will also go over the timeline, expectations, and requirements when they hold their initial meeting with you and your candidate.

- Procedures for Issues in Teacher Candidate Performance are on pg 28.
