The edTPA (Teacher Performance Assessment) is a multiple-measure assessment that covers five areas: planning, instruction, analysis of teaching, assessment, and academic language. The edTPA evaluates teaching and learning using actual teaching materials such as lesson plans, assignments, teacher resources, video of the candidate teaching, and commentaries. As an authentic assessment of a candidate’s skill to effectively teach subject matter to all students, the edTPA provides evidence that the candidate is ready to begin their teaching career. The edTPA is a TSPC mandated assessment that must be passed for program completion. More information regarding opportunities to support your candidate through their edTPA can be found here:
