Universal Design for Learning: An Example of Teaching Anatomy Through Technology

| 0

This presentation will demonstrate the application of Universal Design for Learning for anatomy pedagogy through a 3 dimensional anatomy software.

Physical environment of anatomy laboratories may be one of the barriers to allow full and equal accessibility for all students with disabilities to learn human body. The purpose of this presentation is to demonstrate an application of Universal Design for Learning in anatomy education. An online three-dimensional (3D) anatomical simulation software was chosen specifically for occupational therapy students who need accommodations. The software was also used in all anatomy lectures. If students value and are skilled in learning in an online environment, the 3D anatomical software can be an effective anatomy teaching resource.
