Matt Ellis

Matt Ellis is the current Superintendent of Prosser School District.

Ellis received his Bachelor’s of Science from Oregon State University (OSU) in 2005. While attending OSU, he was also a Pac-10 Champion in Wrestling.

After receiving his Bachelor’s, Ellis attended the University of the Cumberlands, where he earned his Master’s in Arts of Teaching in 2007.

After receiving his Master’s, Ellis worked as an assistant wrestling coach for Stanford University. Although his time there was fulfilling he made the decision to return to Washington and begin a career in public education.

Ellis has served in many roles throughout his career including high school social studies teacher, assistant principal, principal, and superintendent. Ellis completed his principal’s certificate and superintendent’s certificate through Washington State University (WSU) in 2012 and 2017, respectively. His research interests include various topics in K-12 education.
