More on Namibia’s history

Hello everyone,

I have a couple of post on the history of Namibia, but this one just gives a quick insight. Before Namibia was a country with a unified government, it was a borderless land that many nomadic tribes lived on. Then in 1488, the Portuguese arrived, and many times after that until Germany and Britain colonized Namibia in 1885. After German colonization, Namibia was under the control of South Africa from 1915 to 1989. In 1990, Namibia gained its independence and became a free country. Below I attached a photo with a timeline from BBC that provides precise dates and information.

Ciao,

Kimberly
