Namibia Facts

Hello,

This post is dedicated to facts about Namibia! Namibia is a country located in southwest Africa. There are about 2.5 million inhabitants composing 10 tribes and ethnic groups. The population is spread out over 12 regions, but many live in the north next to Angola. Namibia is 800,000 km big, which is twice as big as Germany. Because Namibia has so many tribes and interesting history, there is a lot of culture and diversity. The tribes and ethnic groups in Namibia include the Ovambo, San, Damar, Kavango, Herero, Nama, Caprivian, Busmen, Tswana, White Namibian, and others. The Ovambo tribe is the largest tribe, and the White Namibians and others are individuals of German, British, Portuguese, and African descent. Namibia has so many ethnic groups because it colonized many times. Not only was Namibia colonized by the Portuguese many times, in 1885, Namibia was also colonized by the Germans and the British until 1915, when Southwest Africa gained control. I found this interesting fact about Namibia and will post it below, so you can enjoy it.

Have fun!
