My name is Leigh G. Schaid, and I am an assistant professor and pediatric audiologist at Pacific University’s School of Audiology. Prior to joining Pacific in 2014, I worked as a research audiologist at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. I hold a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and my doctor of audiology degree from Indiana University-Bloomington.
My clinical area of expertise is pediatric diagnostics, with a special interest in the birth to three population. In my role at Pacific, I also teach classroom courses focused on pediatrics, as well as precept doctoral students in our onsite clinic, the Pacific EarClinic.
Outside of my work, I enjoy staying active – exploring the Oregon coast and Portland’s Forest park – along with running, cycling, and resistance training. I also love to cook, read, and spend time with friends and family.
Leigh,
It is great to meet you. I have been exploring this state many years and I have yet to get to Forest park but I will do that soon. I love biking in Portland. It is pretty safe. I thought about it in Kiev to many cars.
